Module 7 of 9 - Using Nvelop

The Deal Room tab - 4 sub-sections

What this module covers

The Deal Room tab's four sub-sections - Negotiation Plan Overview, Proposal Feedback, Pricing Negotiation, and Contracting. Each negotiation track runs independently per vendor.

Why this matters

Keeping negotiation inside the same platform as the rest of the sourcing event means the final terms stay connected to the requirements and evaluation that led to them, instead of living in a separate email thread disconnected from the record.

Step by step

From shortlist to signed agreement

Step 2 of 4

Negotiation Plan Overview

Negotiation Plan Overview shows the RFP and client name at the top, then a per-vendor row with three independently-initiated tracks: Proposal Feedback ('address gaps and clarify requirements based on vendor proposals'), Price Negotiation ('negotiate pricing and target discount ranges with vendors'), and Contracting ('finalize contract terms, liability, SLAs, and legal agreements').
3

Step 3 of 4

3 independent tracks

Each track has its own Initiate button and status per vendor (e.g. Not Sent, Planning) - you do not have to run all three at once or in lockstep across vendors.
4

Step 4 of 4

Exclude a vendor

You can also Exclude a vendor from a specific track if they are no longer in consideration for that stage.

FAQ

Common questions

1Do all three negotiation tracks run together?+
No - Proposal Feedback, Price Negotiation, and Contracting are each initiated independently, with their own status per vendor.
2Can I drop a vendor from just one part of negotiation?+
Yes, via the Exclude option on that specific track - you do not have to exclude them from the whole Deal Room.
